The Society is deeply indebted to Mr Geoff Gould of Barry who has donated a pair of the Scott expedition's skis and a personal Album to the Society. His grandmother, a nurse, had been given the skis by Able Seaman W McDonald RN on the Terra Nova's return to Cardiff in 1912. The album, which had been the property of Ms Gladys Cansick at the time of the ship's return, features autographs of many of the expedition and crew. These items were exhibited at the Society's CentenaryPierhead Exhibit

William McDonald at 50th Anniversary Celebration, New Zealand.
